BearingArms.com is one of the most powerful gun blogs online, yet apparently they think gun owners should keep their guns hidden, worst of all, he implies Open Carriers are not practicing gun safety:

1. How do you know if the guns are loaded?
2. How do you know if pointing the guns at the ceiling won’t cause the bullet to ricochet? Assuming the unlikely case that the gun is fired.
3. Everyone in Israel carries rifles openly, are they irresponsible as well?
And this is taking place in a country without a 2nd Amendment, a country where: “… anyone who wishes to receive a gun permit will be required to undergo a medical and psychological examination. “If they won’t pass the psychologist’s test, they’ll have to see a psychiatrist.””

So in spite of this, plenty of Israelis carry, the question is can Americans open carry without our fellow gun owners turning against us?
Can we open carry without the NRA condemning us and then backtracking?
Can the gun bloggers at least wait until someone gets hurt to point fingers? Lecture me about responsibility after I shoot my foot, but not before.
Bearingarms in the most hypocritically named site I can think of off the top of my head. It’s probably an MDA mole site.
I wouldn’t go that far, I discovered bearingarms.com through the daily e-mail I get from Townhall.com, the premier conservative site. Still, I’m disappointed with them.
And I recently unsubbed from three of my gun blogs for crudely insulting people for the sin of open carry while not being pretty. If anyone can recommend some good replacement gun blogs that don’t turn on their own at the drop of a hat I’d appreciate it.
