South Carolina has a pro-gun governor and an anti-gun Senate. This defeat is shameful, this is the work of self-hating Southerners, scalawags that would rather kiss the carpetbaggers than pass pro-gun laws.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Senators have shot down a bill allowing people to carry guns in public in South Carolina without a permit.
The Senate Judiciary Committee refused Tuesday by a vote of 4-17 to advance the measure to the full Senate. It’s rare for legislators to defeat a bill outright.
Currently, only people who hold a concealed weapon permit can carry a gun in public, and the gun must remain concealed. Training is required.
The legislation sponsored by Sen. Lee Bright of Roebuck, who’s running for U.S. Senate, would have deleted the need for training and a permit. Gun enthusiasts argue such steps are against their constitutional rights. Republican Gov. Nikki Haley said earlier this month she would sign the bill if it reached her desk.
Opponents included law enforcement.

Opponents include law enforcement? They probably mean the Chiefs of Police which are political appointees out of touch with the voters. Most cops are supportive of the 2nd Amendment, JOURNALISM means reporting facts, not distorting them.
I believe there’s gonna be political hell in South Carolina. I want to know who are the 17 bastards that voted against the 2nd Amendment, are any of them Republican? If so then it’s time to excommunicate them from public office.
