Man shoots himself in head with nail gun – twice

 

OTTAWA — A Carleton Place man is likely to face charges once he recovers from shooting himself in the head with a nail gun — twice.

It happened after 7 p.m. Monday at a woman’s home on Thomas Argue Rd. in the Ottawa community of Carp.

 

Sources tell the Sun the man was breaching conditions by going to the home of his ex-wife. It’s not known what was said between the two, but the man ended up shooting himself in the head twice with a nail gun.

 

The woman called 911 and paramedics treated the man once police had secured the home.

 

There weren’t any children at the residence during the bizarre domestic incident.

 

The man, who is 51 years-old, is recovering in hospital and charges are pending.

Sydney, Australia, homicide squad detectives have released the graphic image as they make a fresh appeal for information about Chen Liu’s murder.

The decomposed body of the 27-year-old, also known as Anthony Liu, was found dumped in the Georges River last November, wrapped in a domestic rug.

The myth of fingerprinting technology.

They’re at it again…

BOSTON — In what is the latest wrinkle in gun control controversies expected to emerge among three Democrats running for attorney general, former state Sen. Warren E. Tolman has called for use of fingerprint technology on all newly manufactured guns sold in the state, as a way of preventing use of stolen guns by criminals.

“Just as your fingerprint can be used to unlock your iPhone, fingerprint technology can be used to ensure only the rightful owner is able to fire a gun,” Mr. Tolman said in a statement proposing a change in law to mandate the locks. “This would help take the guns out of the hands of criminals who steal them. It would protect us from the tragedy of children and teens who accidentally or by choice are killed by guns left unsecured in the home.”

 

Moreover, Mr. Tolman said, the mechanisms would also save lives of police. He said 17 percent of police who die on duty are killed by criminals who get control of the officer’s gun.

2. That technology would require batteries, I’m sorry but a gun you have to charge isn’t a gun that can save your life when you need it the most.

Shooting Two Guns at Once.

Yesterday I was feeling a little blue, so I decided to take Mr. Beretta Nano and Mr. Smith & Wesson 9MM to the range for a little group therapy.

Shooting them both at once, from a distance of 3 feet, I was able to hit 10 shots out of 27 shots fired.

Folks, if shooting a gun is like sex, then shooting two guns is like a threesome. I’ve never felt so good in my life, it’s also a good thing to do if you struggle shooting with both eyes open.

I’ve struggled quite a bit since I’m right-handed and left-eye dominant, however, my paper target was dead with 10 holes, and at the end of the day, that’s what matters.

I’m glad Mr. Zimmerman has found a hobby, and while I’m no art critics, people must like it with 108 Ebay bids that have raised the original price to $110,000 at the time I wrote this.

Knockout Game is NOT a HOAX.

Because “The Knockout Game” is being played by blacks against whites and each other, the liberal media is censoring the news, ignoring inconvenient truths. As Ann Coulter described it:

The cops themselves admit this is not a game.

As Sgt. Tom Connellan of Syracuse, N.Y., patiently explained to the Times, it’s called a “game” because there is no other motive for these attacks. They’re not done for vengeance, robbery, gang initiations or payback. Strangers are being punched out strictly for amusement. Also, there are rules. You get only one punch to knock someone out.

26 Losers Protest at NRA HQ.

Some people need to get a life.

WASHINGTON — The morning after 20 children and six adults were gunned down at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., Fairfax County, Va. mother Klara Bilgin drove to the nearby headquarters of the National Rifle Association. There, she stood in the cold with her husband and two sons, ages 4 and 5.

Van Cleave said later by phone that people would never dream of protesting outside Ford Motor’s headquarters because a drunk driver hit and killed a family of five. But if a gun results in a death, they blame the gun. He said the types of restrictive laws advocates have demanded would ensure that only criminals were armed.

At the protest, some drivers passing by honked in support. A man pulling out of the NRA parking lot rolled down a window as a speaker was introducing a singer and yelled, “Get a life, losers!”

Re-Registration in DC.

Government is so competent than gun owners in DC are going to have to re-registered their weapons.

Starting Jan. 1 all registered gun owners in D.C. must re-register their firearms within 90 days. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says notices will start going out to gun owners soon.

“Every three years you’ll have to confirm you still live in the District and you still have your firearm.” Lanier tells WNEW.

The re-registration requirement will impact anyone who registered a firearm in the District from 1976 to 2010.

And what happens if you miss your deadline?

The penalties for not re-registering a gun range from a $13 fine to a $1,000 fine and a year in jail, according to an MPD spokesperson.

 

“A person who fails to renew their firearms registration within 90 days of the deadline (meaning, 90 day renewal period + 90 day grace period = 180 days total) will have their firearm registration cancelled, will be in possession of an unregistered firearm, and may face criminal charges punishable by a fine up to $1,000 or 1 year in jail, or both,” MPD spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump wrote in an email.

Well, isn’t that special?  Perhaps the “C” in DC should stand for Cockroach since that’s the kind of people law-abiding DC gun owners have to deal with.
