Mother Jones upset that NRA tweets about gun owned by marauder.

The NRA’s National Firearms Museum has everything from Dirty Harry’s Smith & Wesson to the guns of Annie Oakley, but apparently, it’s not OK that the

“…the NRA tweeted about yesterday, is an elephant rifle that belonged to Henry Morton Stanley, the 19th-century British American journalist and “explorer” who marauded through east, southern, and central Africa.”
Source: http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/12/nra-elephant-gun-henry-morton-stanley

And why is it not OK? Because Stanly commited murder during his safaris.

Stanley claimed, was 14 dead and 8 wounded, presumably including the baby and its mother. Due to tales such as this, Stanley gained a reputation for indiscriminate slaughter. George Bernard Shaw described him as a “wild-beast man, with his elephant gun, and his atmosphere of dread and murder.” Fellow expeditionist Richard Burton observed, “Stanley shoots negroes [sic] as if they were monkeys.” Though the elephant gun in the NRA’s collection is likely not the one fired in the passage above, it’s not surprising that the gun lobby isn’t volunteering the larger story behind the trigger-happy owner of this “special treasure.”

Well Mother Jones,

#1 The National Firearms Museum is about THE GUNS more than the people who owned them.

#2 I’m surprised that a racist and eugenicist like George Bernard Shaw would have a problem with Stanley.

We should find ourselves committed to killing a great many people whom we now leave living, and to leave living a great many people whom we at present kill. We should have to get rid of all ideas about capital punishment …

A part of eugenic politics would finally land us in an extensive use of the lethal chamber. A great many people would have to be put out of existence simply because it wastes other people’s time to look after them.”

Stanley’s gun is part of history, and unlike the evil ideas of George Bernard Shaw which inspired Hitler’s own ideas of genocide, Stanley’s gun is guilty of nothing.

Pellet guns Instagram pics get boy charged with disorderly conduct.

This picture got a boy in trouble:

Of course he loves revolvers, see Charles Gitnick? Normal boys aren’t afraid of weapons.

REDDING — Police have charged a 13-year-old boy with disorderly conduct after he allegedly posted a photo of two guns on Instagram Thursday and wrote, “I think I’m ready to go to school.”

Police said they are investigating a second incident in which another student posted a photo of a pistol on Instagram and wrote, “Colt Anaconda .357. Damn I love revolvers.”

Police said that in the first case, a student saw the 13-year-old’s post to Instagram and reported it to school officials.

….

Disorderly conduct is a misdemeanor and occurs when a person’s conduct causes “inconvenience, annoyance or alarm,” according to state law.

In the first incident, police said, the two weapons pictured on Instagram were pellet guns, which Redding police have seized. One of the guns had its plastic tip, which indicates it is a facsimile firearm, removed, police said.

In the second incident, the photo police say the student posted was taken from the Internet.

Even if the weapons were real, guess what? It’s Free Speech. If my daddy takes me boating and I take a picture of a boat and write “I love boating,” would that get me or my father in trouble? Then why guns?

Police released images of the Instagram posts to show how realistic the guns appeared, Fuchs said.

So what? There are all kinds of things that look realistic. Here’s an idea, cops, stop wasting time chasing imaginary threats.

More Gun Freedom in Mississippi.

Once again the “backwards” South is at the forefront of freedom.

JACKSON, Mississippi — Certain gun owners can carry concealed weapons even in areas where a local government has posted signs banning them, the Attorney General’s office said Thursday in an opinion aimed at clarifying Mississippi’s gun laws.

Gun owners who hold “enhanced permits” can take their weapons to places like churches, voting precincts and even inside passenger terminals of airports, even if there are signs posted to expressly prohibit guns, Assistant Attorney General Ricky G. Luke said in an opinion originally crafted in response to a request from the city of Corinth.

What I want to know is how does one get an “enhanced permit”? Have you ever heard of those? The article doesn’t say.

Hoplophobes Using Guns as Art.

Why would someone who hates and fears guns and gun owners turn illegal guns confiscated by cops into art? That’s like f-cking for chastity, having an abortion to save the babies, or marrying the same-sex to protest same-sex marriage.

This is art? Next time I’m cleaning my gun I’m gonna take a picture. Who knew making art was so easy?

“Every piece is made out of either a gun or a bullet that we’ve taken out of circulation and that the serial number of one of the guns that we have destroyed will be on the piece,” said founder Peter Thum. “Profit from every piece goes back to fund programs to reduce gun violence here in the United States.”

Jewelry made from the guns and bullets include rings, bracelet cuffs and necklaces. People who purchase one of the items online can choose which of the three participating cities they would like to receive the charitable donation.

Would you believe that the “Jewelry” is being sold from $85 to $1,485?

Here’s the kicker, the website where you can buy this garbage is http://libertyunited.com/

That’s like Neo-Nazis calling themselves JewsUnited.com
I have an idea, they have a “contact us” section.

Please contact us about general inquiries here:   Please contact us about press inquiries here:  [email protected]
Please contact us about purchases at:
Or leave us a message at:  +1-347-620-2156

Oh, I’m sure you’re going to have a few “general inquiries,” do send them some “love mail,” If you don’t know what to write, just copy and paste really long pro-gun articles.
Flood the f-ckers with e-mails. If these people hate our Second Amendment and dare to have a “contact us” section, then by all means, contact them.
“Liberty United,” the balls of this people. I guess to a liberal words mean nothing. Maybe if tomorrow rape becomes popular, we’ll have a ChastityPurity.com selling rape videos.

Ready for Guns Save Lives Day?

If you’re living in the DC area, this might be a good excuse to get out of the house and join a crowd of pro-gun patriots:

Timed to coincide with Bill of Rights Day, and coming a day after the first anniversary of the Newtown shootings: it’s “Guns Save Lives Day,” organized by one Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation. He has made some major national broadcast advertising buys — “hundreds of thousands of dollars” worth, he says — to promote this newly designated day, and its very specific aim.

“Our message points out that guns do save lives, and that it is not in the interest of public safety to create so-called gun-free zones where people are defenseless against violent criminal attack,” Mr. Gottlieb says.

“While others will exploit national tragedies to push an agenda of victim disarmament, we have a different message that the public has a right to hear,” he continues. “The proper use of firearms in emergency situations can make a difference to the safety of would-be victims, whether they are night-shift grocery clerks, single moms, senior citizens or small business owners.”

The group has the enthusiastic backing of 30 local and regional gun rights groups; the Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility is among the groups protesting the idea. See the information here: GunsSaveLivesDay.com. Currently, 50 percent of Americans oppose stricter gun control laws, 49 percent favor them, according to a new CNN poll. And the inevitable partisan divide: 65 percent of Republicans oppose stricter gun laws, 71 percent of Democrats support them.

NYPD Begins Gun Confiscation Process.

“Nobody’s after your guns,” “you’re being paranoid,” “we just want common-sense gun control”.

Oh yeah? Then explain this:

The New York City Police Department is taking aim at owners of shotguns and rifles capable of holding more than five rounds, demanding such guns be surrendered, altered or taken out of the city.

The demand came in the form of some 500 letters mailed out to owners of registered long guns that are in violation of a 2010 city ordinance. The first option for the letter’s recipient is to, “Immediately surrender your Rifle and/or Shotgun to your local police precinct, and notify this office of the invoice number. The firearm may be sold or permanently removed from the City of New York thereafter.”

….

“These letters appear to be another example of the Nanny State,” Tedisco said. “Hypothetically, it can start with a letter, and then that can lead to someone knocking on your door saying, ‘I want to see your gun.’”

….

King said the author of these letters misfired when writing the guns could be modified.

“A gun collector who never fired a gun in his life, but has a few antiques might have to get them altered,” he said. “These are not the people law enforcement should be targeting.”

Registration always equals confiscation, it’s just a question of time.

Huge Gun Auction in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

They say you can’t take them with you, and that’s a good thing for those of us who love bidding on cool guns.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – An auctioneer company is gearing up for an estate auction the likes of which they say they’ve never seen before: a personal collection of more than 600 pistols, shotguns and rifles, all ready to be sold to the highest bidder.

The collection belonged to Bill Hornaday of Shelbyville, who passed away suddenly seven months ago.

Hornaday once owned a pawn shop in town, which is where he acquired some of his guns after the business closed.

The collection includes both new and old guns, some highly collectible, like a Luger used by the Nazis in World War II.
Hornaday’s wife says he was more fascinated with the knowledge of his guns and rifles than using them to go hunting or target shooting.

The auctioneers are expecting more than 1,000 people to attend the gun auction, which takes place Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7 at the Calsonic arena in Shelbyville.  Each day begins with a preview at 7 a.m., followed by the auction which begins at 9 a.m.
