When 5 million NRA members pay dues and the NRA buys a pro-gun commercial (assuming it can air, not always the case), the liberal media complains, yet when “New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is buying one million dollars of ad time to boost Newark Mayor Cory Booker in his candidacy for the U.S. Senate,” it’s business as usual.

This is what Bloomberg’s buying:
“The ad touts Booker, a Democrat, as someone capable of reaching across party lines to get results.
“In a divided Washington a senator to get things done,” says the narrator in the ad, touting his bipartisan efforts in Newark to reform its school system, his championing of expanded background checks for gun purchases, a priority for Bloomberg, and working with the private sector to create jobs. The commercial calls Booker “a leader to put progress ahead of partisanship.””

New Jersey is a Blue State where Democrats vote for whoever the party nominates, yet even then, some Democrats are asking “what did he really do?” as mayor of Newark. Because like Obama, Booker isn’t famous for anything he’s done but for speeches, his personality, and his “charisma.”
