Get a safe, lock up your guns, well, here’s what you get when you do:
RALEIGH — A Raleigh man is accused of stealing $10,000 worth of guns from a home on Rock Drive in eastern Raleigh.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office suspects Steven Richard Bullock, 27, broke into the building on Tuesday and took a Winchester knife, $34.61 in cash and a gun safe containing the weapons, an arrest warrant states.
Public records did not make clear the number or type of weapons reported taken, or whether they were recovered. Bullock was arrested the same day as the reported crime, according to the arrest warrant.
Bullock, described in county records as an employee of Macaroni Grill, also is accused of concealing a Taser with a flashlight, an arrest warrant states. He was arrested near the intersection of Poole Road and the Neuse River Greenway Trail in Raleigh at about 12:30 p.m., according to county records.
Bullock, of 727 S. State St., was held Tuesday at the Wake County Detention Center on $170,00 bond. He faces felony charges of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

Might be a good idea to bolt safes to the floor from now on… ya think?
That’s not a bad idea, and they can cost as little as $500, sometimes less. Of course, if you’re not doing the installation you better hope you’re hiring a reputable company that’s not going to give your information to a thief.
I still sympathize with gun owners, when you love guns, you want to spend your money on guns, not gun safes, but maybe spending $500 to $1000 to protect 10 grand worth of guns is a wise investment. What about you? Do you have a safe? I don’t.
