Sanford PD Backs Down on Neighborhood Watch Gun Ban.

The geniuses in Sanford finally realized that State law trumps local law.

The Sanford Police Department is backing off a proposal to ban Neighborhood Watch members from carrying guns, but it still wants volunteers to leave their firearms at home and will make that recommendation at a community meeting Tuesday night, police Chief Cecil Smith said Monday.

Your recommendation means nothing. We shall protect our lives as the law allows us to do so. Of course, the following makes me question why would anyone want to join a City-Owned Neighborhood Watch.

Under the new rules, volunteers will have to sign a document holding the city harmless if they carry a gun or behave in other unauthorized ways, Smith said. They also will be subject to background checks.

Really? How many criminals join neighborhood watches? Freaking idiots, you know what? If you live in Sanford, just stay home. Who needs to be treated like a criminal for protecting the community?

Sad to see what’s happening in Sanford, maybe you pussies ought to change your city’s name to Trayvon Town or City of T-Martin in honor of that thug Zimmerman killed.
