NJ.com Poll: Should Christie defend N.J. gun laws?

The “no’s” are winning for now, you can vote here.

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie did not defend two of New Jersey’s tough gun-control laws in a big case decided this week by a state appeals court.

Christie administration officials have not said why they sat out the case. The Republican governor previously has expressed support for New Jersey’s gun laws, and critics accused him of flip-flopping to please the national Republican Party as he explores a White House bid in 2016.

The appeals court said Christie’s attorney general, who is in charge of defending state laws,”regrettably” did not participate in the case. Steve Lonegan, a conservative activist, praised Christie for “making a statement” in support of gun rights while state Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) called the move “horrendous” and said the public should get an explanation of what happened.

I do not trust “Big Boy” (Romney’s term for Christie according to ‘Double Down’), and it scares me that this guy could win the Republican nomination. Christie has a lot of charisma, he’s one of the greatest speakers out there, very authentic, doesn’t sound phony, but his outright hatred of libertarians in the GOP, his defense of a Muslim judge with possible radical connections, his flip-flopping on gun rights, and those bear hugs he gave Obama makes me question his Republican credentials.

He also needs to get a gastric-bypass (if he hasn’t done it already) and lose a lot of weight. Elections are like Ms. Universe nowadays, all based on looks and style. I’m surprised we do not have swimsuit competitions yet, LOL
