MDA goes after Sonic and Chillis

Our enemies are on the move.

TELL CHILI’S AND SONIC TO GET GUNSENSE: Gun extremists are showing up armed in Chili’s Grill & Bar and Sonic Drive-In restaurants, frightening customers and confronting employees. However, neither restaurant has policies prohibiting open carry. Since our Chipotle win, Chili’s and Sonic have both indicated they are reconsidering their policies concerning firearms: http://every.tw/1jdo095

Here’s a question for the mad mother’s, are you gonna be inspecting our cars now? Most people at Sonic’s don’t even step out of their cars, it’s mostly a drive-through restaurant.
I do appreciate they took that picture, he’s carrying a gun and nobody’s being shot, nobody’s dying, nothing bad is happening.

  1. I am a law abiding gun owner who carries. Seeing people carry long guns in to establishments is really asinine. This act does more harm to the CCW movement than it does good. I view these types of individuals as extremist. Which is something I hate. Extremist have always managed to do more harm for a just cause than they do any good. A criminal walks in intent on killing, the fools with the long guns are the ones that will get the first bullets.

    • Aw, but I remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. Think of the American revolution, what an extremist act, telling England that they would no longer be in charge of their own colony, creating a nation out of ideas. If George Washington had been a moderate, we wouldn’t know his name today.

I don’t think this harm us, it might actually win us people over, might emboldened gun owners to be more active, it gives us press and the opportunity to express ourselves.

The more guns are seen in public, the more normal they become, and the weirder the anti-gunners sound. That’s how I see it.

      • I agree with Dave 100% and he is 100% correct. I have been around firearms since I was old enough to walk and I am a firearms enthusiast to the extreme. However, that being said, I feel somewhat uneasy when a number of people show up openly wearing / carrying firearms. Too many have the attitude ” I dare you to challenge anything I say or do”. How do you think that kind of attitude is going to affect most people. It certainly is not going to present a positive image. But here is the bottom line: Showing a firearm just tells any goblin bent on mayhem who he needs to disarm. You can bet your sweet a$$ he is not going to show anyone his weapon until he is ready to use it

        • It makes you feel uneasy because you’re not used to seeing it, when I visited Israel my tour guide had an unloaded Uzi (loaded magazine was taped to the weapon) and pretty much everyone else was open carrying weapons, which is ironic since Israel has gun control laws far worse than what we have.

I don’t see what you say about the attitude of “I dare you to challenge anything I say or do,” I’m far more afraid of bikers, thugs, bullies, not gun activists.

  2. I am not bothered by the sight of any firearm. I worked the polls here and young fellows carry them in in a holster all the time. It is perfectly legal.
