Gun Accident in “Gun-Free” India

Here’s how gun control works in India:

Two constables posted with the Quick Response Team (QRT) in Dahisar suffered injuries on their legs after a weapon misfired on Wednesday.

“When Awghare was handing over his AK-47 gun to Kumbhar, it slipped from his hand. Awghare bent down and was about to catch the gun, when he accidentally pulled the trigger and shot one bullet,” said Brijesh Singh, additional commissioner of police (North region). The bullet scratched Awghare’s thigh and hit Kumbhar’s leg fracturing his left thigh. “
