Woman shoots, kills intruder in Detroit

Police say a man in his 20s attempted to break into her home through a rear window. When the homeowner heard the noise, she grabbed her handgun and warned the invader that she was armed.

The suspect continued to break in and the woman shot him once in the chest.

This incident follows two separate home invasions in Detroit last Saturday where two homeowners killed people breaking into their homes.

Another home invasion on February 17 involved a mother firing at teenagers who were breaking into her home.

 

Okla. Woman Shoots, Kills Intruder: 911 Operators Say It’s OK to Shoot

When Martin kicked in the door and came after her with the knife, the teen mom shot and killed the 24-year-old. Police are calling the shooting justified.

“You’re allowed to shoot an unauthorized person that is in your home. The law provides you the remedy, and sanctions the use of deadly force,” Det. Dan Huff of the Blanchard police said.

Deputies: Elderly woman shoots intruder armed with baseball bat

PENDLETON, SC (FOX Carolina) –

Deputies said an elderly woman shot an intruder who attacked another woman with a baseball bat in Pendleton on Monday afternoon.

Police: Woman in her 60s shoots intruder in his 20s

Kansas City, MO

According to police, a woman in her 60s answered a knock at her door and a man who she didn’t know asked for someone the woman had never heard of. When she told him he had the wrong house, the man reportedly forced his way inside.

Once inside, the woman told police the man sexually assaulted her.

After the attack, police said the woman claimed the man started to leave the room and she was able to get a hold of a gun she had and shoot the intruder.

Woman shoots armed intruder in Port Richey

Anthony Capuano, 38, donned a mask and knocked on the door at 6912 Alta Vista Lane about 11 p.m. He was armed with a handgun. When Heidi Christophell, 22, wouldn’t let him in, authorities say, he broke a window and began to crawl inside.

Christophell retrieved a gun belonging to her boyfriend, Steven Joseph Brown, from a bedroom and came back firing, authorities said. Capuano, a known member of the Latin Kings gang, fled in a white Chevy Impala and drove about 150 feet before crashing into a house on El Camino Real Avenue.

He was transported to a hospital with two gunshot wounds in his side and is currently listed in critical condition, the Sheriff’s Office said.
