That Old Gray “Lady” decided to publish yet another anti-gun column by gun-hater Giffords.

Gaby, your fight is not like your rehab, you’re losing, that’s why the Times used “Gabrielle Giffords’s Call for Patience on Gun Reform” as a subhead (headlines and subheads are the domain of editors, not whoever submits an opinion column).
You can pay attention to details and opportunities, but don’t think for a minute we’re not doing the same thing. Of course, we have a lot more people on our side than you do. Between the NRA, GOA, SAF, and NAFGR, we’re talking more than 5 million dues-paying members. We’re a 2nd Amendment Army trained in the art of political war!
Giffords, you know what you have? Likes on Facebook, Moms Demand Action has 130,000 likes. I do a lot of Facebook marketing, and I know Likes mean little, what matters is who is actually active, who’s talking, who’s sharing, who writing the politicians, etc. In the words of Spartacus’ Doctore, you have piss and sh-t.
Enhance enforcement by passing a law making gun trafficking a serious crime with stiff penalties. Make it illegal for all stalkers and all domestic abusers to buy guns. Extend mental health resources into schools and communities, so the dangerously mentally ill find it easier to receive treatment than to buy firearms.
Newsflash cripple! Gun trafficking is already a serious crime (unless the ATF is doing one of their gun walking programs), stalking is a crime, domestic abuse is a crime. Yet in this country we’re INNOCENT until proven guilty. As for the mentally ill, take your fight with the ACLU, they’re the ones that make it hard to send someone to the loony bin.
Other times our knees will buckle. We’ll tire of the burden. I know this feeling. But we’ll persist.
No, you will lose. Our pro-gun side never tires, never weakens, never buckles under pressure. This is our passion, our sacred honor, we fight FOR something, not against something. We fight for freedom, you seek to make the State your Dominus, your master. You blame “an assassin’s bullet” instead of the man that shot you.
Some gun owners have sympathy for you, they think that because you became a victim, we should cut you some slack, tread lightly, I’m not one of them. Other victims of gun violence have bought guns, have joined the NRA, have learned to defend themselves.
If a woman gets raped, should she ban the penis? No, if she’s smart, she buys herself a gun to avoid ever being raped again.
Quit while you’re behind, Giffords, move on to better and bigger things, read “More Guns, Less Crimes,” visit the Guns Save Lives blog, educate yourself on the 2nd Amendment and why our founding fathers wrote it, and most importantly, stop screwing with our freedoms!
