Why would a Republican shoot Abraham Lincoln? It’s the Democrats that are the party of slavery and segregation, not the GOP. Even today Democrats are still racial supremacists, they just don’t favor white people anymore. The GOP is the party of legal equality, not equality of results but equality under the law.
