A fight avoided is a fight won, but here are a few situations where you may be legally justified in pulling out your gun. Keep in mind that my words here are opinion-only, I’m not encouraging you to do anything, that’s between you and the law.
If someone yells “I’m going to kill you” and you think he means it, pull out your gun.
If someone starts beating you Trayvon-style, pull out your gun.
If a mob of 20 are chasing after you to beat you up, pull out your gun.
If a man or woman comes at you with a bat or knife, pull out your gun.
Now notice I didn’t say “shoot your gun,” not yet. Most cases of self-defense are resolved by brandishing the gun, that should be enough to scare most criminals, if not, then you can shoot your gun.
But if someone is texting at the movies, call the manager and ask him to throw him out.
If you can outrun a situation, go ahead and outrun it.
But if it’s a matter of life and death, do whatever you have to do to be the one that survives and not the one that dies.
