I’m starting to regret the coins I have dropped in their red kettles.
From page 18 of the new Central Territory Employee Handbook:
“The Salvation Army will not tolerate employees being in possession of any weapons, both inside the workplace or in the parking area, including weapons transported in employee vehicles. In addition, when working outside The Salvation Army premises on Salvation Army business, employees are prohibited from carrying or transporting weapons.
Weapons include, but are not limited to, guns, knives, explosives and other potential weapons…”
If you were planning to donate to the SA, but now will not, I encourage you to let the SA know why. This Christmas, let your local ball ringer know why you refuse to put anything in his kettle.

One could argue they’re doing the Devil’s Work. Perhaps it’s an argument you’d like to wear.
