The NRA should recruit online

Recruiter-hat

The NRA has a cool recruitment program that pays you up to $25 for every member you enroll. But there’s one caveat, the recruitment has to happen offline.

Q: Where can I recruit?
A: Shooting and sportsmen’s clubs, businesses, social clubs, gun shows and fairs. “Join Here” links can also be placed on personal, business, or enthusiast websites

That’s great for socially outgoing people, but what about us bloggers, online chatters, social media freaks? If I can sell Amazon paraphernalia on my website, why not NRA memberships?

Everyone else from Brownells to Cabela’s has affiliate programs, you can even sell ammo as an affiliate and earn 3% with some companies, and while it’s true that the affiliate model doesn’t work for everyone, there are gun bloggers out there that get a ton of traffic. (I’m not one of them, although yesterday I got 1971 views, I usually get 300-500)

What do you think? If you had a blog wouldn’t you like to put a “Join NRA” web banner and get $10 to $25 every time someone joins? I think I would.

  1. I was recruited online by a fellow Texan – You may have heard of him … a Mr. Chuck Norris. No lie.

When Chuck Norris tells you to join the NRA, you better join the NRA!

    • Yeah, Church Norris has inspired many and he writes brilliant columns to. So was it he who inspired an interested in guns and the 2nd Amendment? What about martial arts? He’s good at that to.

I was educated about the Second Amendment and the evils of the UN by a nice guy from Idaho that I met online. That was 1996, I used to participate in an e-mail discussion group. He’s the one that got me to join the NRA and everything.
