NRA Backs Anti-Gunner In Georgia
The hypocrites in the NRA are at it again.
First they came out for RINO candidates in Mississippi, Idaho, Kentucky and Virginia. Now they are backing a Republican primary candidate who is openly anti-gun.
Jack Kingston, the NRA-backed candidate in Georgia’s Senate runoff, came out for gun control in 2013 when he said that lawmakers should “put guns on the table, also put video games on the table, put mental health on the table.”
Kingston also told a TV station that gun laws should be dictated not by the Constitution but by academic research. “Let’s let the data lead rather than our political opinions,” he said.
Kingston’s record on non-gun issues isn’t any better. He has been called the “king of earmarks” for creating more earmarks than any other Georgia legislator, he voted to raise the debt ceiling, and he was one of the first Republicans to surrender on Obamacare.
Yet the NRA has endorsed him and given him an A+ rating.
The NRA’s leaders will do anything to protect GOP establishment – even if it means selling out gun rights, conservatives and their dues-paying members

Kingston’s views our troubling, but here’s the thing, the NRA doesn’t give ratings on views because anyone can claim to support or oppose the 2nd Amendment, what they do is far more important. The NRA also doesn’t care about Obamacare, affirmative action, or any issue not related to guns or the 2nd Amendment or the promotion of the 2nd Amendment (which we do with the 1st Amendment).
Harry Reid often angers me, but his pro-gun record is stellar which is why he enjoy an A rating from the NRA.
Obama said he supported the 2nd Amendment and he had an F-rating BEFORE he got elected president. If there was a grade lower than F, the NRA would certainly give him one.
Jack Kingston’s political strategy may be the reason why he’ll make an anti-gun statement on occasion, perhaps he thinks this will attract votes. However, he probably knows that without his top NRA rating, his political career will be over, which is why he’ll continue to vote the way the NRA wants him to vote.
