Hollywood often glorifies teachers and demonizes businessmen, yet they have it all wrong:
A Chester County mother is angry that a teacher who she says pointed a toy gun at her daughter is still working at the school.
….
Austin said her daughter’s algebra teacher, Claire Wilder, pointed the toy gun at her daughter and said she wished it was real.

Is it any wonder we have to pass a law House Bill 2351 aims to protect students who chew a pastry into a gun?
Under the guidelines of the “Common Sense Zero Tolerance Act,” students could not be punished in any way for eight specified reasons, among them the freedom to draw a picture of a gun, use a finger or hand to simulate a weapon, or “vocalize imaginary firearms.”
The most peculiar of the eight, which reads, “Brandishing a pastry or other food which is partially consumed in such a way that the remnant resembles a weapon,” is a reference to an incident in which a Baltimore 7-year-old was suspended for shaping his Pop-Tart into a gun at school.

It’s sad that everything has to be resolved with a law, and frankly, I’m not demanding that the teacher be fired. Let’s call a truce, I’ll tolerate stupid teachers if they tolerate pastry weapons.
The Teacher still hasn’t said she was sorry to Lauren nor anyone involved. If you do something to someone and you know it was wrong, most people would apologize. The Chester County Independent said a statement from the school saying that had the student (Lauren Austin) done this to the teacher that nothing would’ve happened to her. I don’t believe that.
