We love our guns in the South, we love them so much sometimes we forget we have them in our bags when we go to the airport.
“Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby said he has no problem with dropping charges if the gun was brought into the airport inadvertently.
What worries him more is how careless people have gotten with their guns.
“We’ve become such an armed society that people actually aren’t thinking about the fact that they’re carrying weapons with them,” Willoughby said. “That’s a little bit sobering, to think that we are so accustomed to carrying a firearm with us that we often don’t think about it or realize that we have it.”"

Yeah Colon, I forgot that for some people “Home of the Free, Land of the Brave” means “Home of the Safe, Land of the Scared.” Yes, we’re an armed society, we’re also a polite society, specially in the gun packin’ South. Tell me, D.A., does Freedom of Speech stop at the airport? Is the airport a Constitution-Free Zone?
“Everybody should know not to go on a plane with a gun,” said Steele Myers, interim police chief at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. “Some people are forgetful, or they’re thinking that a concealed handgun permit gives them authority to do things they can’t.”
It’s the CONSTITUTION that gives us the authority to do those things, Mr. Myers. Just because TYRANTS like you see themselves above the constitution doesn’t make it so. The law is as wrong as government-enforced segregation was. Now I may have to abide by laws I find distasteful, I won’t even wear my pro-gun T-shirts when I fly. After all, we know how you TSA-types are scary cats that detain people over nothing. Scared of t-shirts, scared of shoes with handgun tips, scared of G.I. Joe, scared of bottle water. How do you people sleep at night?
