New Gun Control in Illinois.

“Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has signed into law a bill that will place new restrictions onto law abiding gun owners in the state.

The measure will both require background checks on privately sold firearms (aka “universal background checks”) and require that any lost or stolen gun be reported to law enforcement within 72 hours.

The stolen gun requirement is now effective immediately and the universal background check requirement will be required starting Jan 1, 2014.”

So Pat the Quisling thinks that criminals selling illegal guns will undergo a background check?  As for the stolen gun reportage, so if Peter goes on vacation and his gun gets stolen, how is he supposed to know? Is Peter psychic?

These laws are nothing more than an excuse to turn law-abiding citizens into criminals. You want to fight crime, governor? Try building more jails so less criminals are released due to overcrowding. Try reinstating the death penalty which you people abolished. Try letting law-abiding gun owners exercise their rights instead of treating us like criminals.

You darned blue statists deserve the crime you get .

 




Wounded Warrior Project anti-gun?

This is shocking! WWP has some explaining to do.

MANDEVILLE, LA --(Ammoland.com)- Does the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) have a bias against guns and gun makers?

Two weeks ago that would have sounded crazy, but this week many shooters are convinced that it’s true. Hundreds of hunts and shoots are held as fundraisers for the WWP, and gun companies donate to WWP for its projects. How could it be that this $185 million (2013 projected revenue) outfit could be anti-gun?

““While we appreciate the interest in having a WWP representative on your show on Veterans Day we are not able to participate in interviews or activities with media/organizations that are related to firearms,” said Ms. Coleman in her email.

Coleman’s explanation that guns are used in suicides, and suicide is a big issue for returning vets, set off a firestorm of response. WWP quietly started making changes to its web site, removing mention of firearms, or changing it to “weapons.” Online firearms boards documented the changes, posting the before and after. The pressure mounted on WWP.

So if a vet kills himself by connecting a hose into the exhaust of a car, are they going to disallow car companies as sponsors? This is unbelievable, Coleman has to go.





Chris Christie VETOES New Jersey Gun Ban. WTF?

Did someone exorcize the RINO out of Christie? This is shocking:

“New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) late Friday vetoed a bill to ban a powerful model of assault weapon that he initially advocated in the wake of last December’s elementary school shootings in Newtown, Conn.

The bill that passed New Jersey’s Democratic legislature would have prohibited the Barrett .50 caliber long-range rifle. Although Christie this spring proposed a ban on future sales of the firearm, he vetoed the ultimate bill because he said it went too far, requiring residents who already own the rifle to give theirs up.

In a veto message to the General Assembly, Christie wrote that the bill “will not further our collective fight against crime, but serve only to confuse law-abiding gun owners with the threat of imprisonment for lawful recreation. I cannot approve of that result.””

Of course, one skeptical reader wrote that Christie wants the GOP 2016 nomination. Well, we shall see, it takes more than one veto to prove yourself a Republican. You need to evolve, Christie, admit that all your previous anti-gun statements were wrong, and then fight for the RKBA.

This is what Obama promotes, a cult of helplessness, government-reliance instead of self-reliance. I feel sorry for that woman, there is nothing more pathetic than a human being who refuses to do everything in his power to live. A year ago I met an Obama-supporter at a truck school, she got very loud after being told truck drivers aren’t allowed to travel with their guns on company trucks. She was black, she was ghetto, but she had self-reliance and self-respect. I only wish we could convince more blacks to be like Colion Noir and stop expecting the government to save them. Government saves nothing, don’t take me wrong, I’m not an anti-government anarchist, just a realist who knows 99% of the time we don’t need government.
