Prozanski universal background checks bill

 

A bad bill is coming in Oregon:

ROSEBURG, Ore. — The state legislature just wrapped up committee hearings in preparation for February’s legislative session.

One hot topic will be Senator Floyd Prozanski’s proposed gun control bill that would require background checks for all gun transfers.

Prozanski says his bill, similar to one that failed to get a vote last year, will move forward.

Republican state representative Tim Freeman says the bill would require background checks like consumers go through when they purchase a gun from a store, but it will also require the same for private sales. “So, Friday afternoon in the Senate, the judiciary committee had a hearing on LC-154, and that’s the bill that has to do with requiring background checks for all sales of firearms, including private sales,” Freeman said.

Republican state representatives say they’re concerned this would lead to state-wide gun registration. “If the law passes, the very next session they will come back and ask for a bill to register all guns in Oregon, and that’s the fear behind continuing gun control legislation,” Freeman said. “I don’t believe it’s needed.”

Prozanski says the bill is designed to help reduce ways for felons to get ahold of guns.

Prozanski also says he does not support state-wide gun registration.

Should a father go through a background check to transfer a gun to his son? Should a neighbor going on vacation deal with red tape if he leaves his guns with a friend or family member? Universal Background checks are not about controlling criminals, or preventing crime, or protecting anyone.

Democrats are the first to tell you that society is judged by how we treat our criminals, they often oppose the death penalty, if you arrest/convict too many minorities, they call you racist. Democrats have even fought for the “voting rights” of felons, I’m not saying someone getting out of prison doesn’t have the right to vote, but this is a priority among Democrats who know they need the Bloods and the Cribs voting for them. If Democrats had it their way, they would campaign in prison.

Democrats hate gun owners we exemplify a self-reliant spirit they despise. This is way Obama always talks about guns as if they are for hunting, maybe target shooting, but never ever self-defense. In the Democratic World, you’re basically useless. If you’re a woman, you can’t afford your own contraception; if you’re Hispanic, they assume you don’t speak English and spend millions on a bad translation into Spanish; if you’re a college student, they want to pay off your student loan debt as long as you work for them.

Who votes for Democrats but the people that can’t or won’t do anything by themselves? When Obama says “we’re all in this together” what he really means is “sacrifice for your fellow man because you’re nothing without him.” This is why Ayn Rand hated altruism, because instead of man working for his own self-interest, he becomes a slave to those who are lazy, unproductive, or unwilling to work.

Universal background checks are nothing more than another chain around our necks, another way for the Democrats to control us, to keep an eye on us. We have to defeat them, because you and I know that when Democrats get an inch, they take a mile.
