Looks like the “conservative” National Review doesn’t really like the 2nd Amendment
Chipotle Was Right to Ban Firearms
Don’t force a private restaurant to become a gun-rights performance space.
….
Up until this point, a reasonable, Second Amendment–supporting individual would likely still side with the gun-rights group . . .
. . . until you see the photo . . .
. . . and your eyebrows shoot up.
Who would feel comfortable sitting in a Chipotle, enjoying a burrito bowl (carnitas, hold the guac!), when in walks a group of guys holding assault weapons and strangely posing for photos? Would anyone feel comfortable after so many mass shootings have been burned into our memories?

I don’t know, the black manager looks pretty comfortable. In fact, in Israel you see guys and girls with guns like those.

Do you see anyone on that beach freaking out? Do you see anyone running away? Maybe A.J. Delgado needs to visit Israel, I’m sure they can help him get over his fear over guns.
Most folks would not. Even those of us supportive of gun rights understand that a small restaurant, usually populated with a significant number of children, where alcoholic beverages are sold, is not an appropriate venue in which to sport a large rifle across one’s shoulder.
Oh God, not the “guns and alcohol don’t mix” argument. First of all, the bad guys are gonna drink and carry their guns, concealed or not. The good guys are gonna be sober with their guns, ready to shoot the bad guys. Why is that so hard to understand?
…While the Chipotle visit was not a gun rally in the traditional sense, Grisham’s claim that the gun-rights supporters were just looking for a place to eat does not pass the smell test, either. Posing for photos and the large size of the group indicate that this was a visit, at least partly, to make a point and not just to grab a burrito.
Sorry A.J., but America has embraced the selfie, smartphones, pictures with friends and strangers, we’re all Japanese tourists now.
What I don’t understand is why the National Review is publishing garbage that belongs on the Huffington Post. Will the NR print pro-gay marriage columns, pro-drug legalization, I don’t call myself a conservative because I’m right-libertarian, but I would expect the National Review to be conservative.
Either you stand for something, or you’re not worth anything. Anti-gun columns don’t belong in the NR, and if they do, then the NR needs to come out of their liberal closet and stop pretending to be conservative.
