More gun control coming to Maryland

The Maryland Marxists haven’t learned the lessons of losing Beretta to Tennessee..

Brochin has introduced a bill that would eliminate a state provision providing those convicted of gun crimes a means of reducing their sentences. Under current law, convicts can get time shaved off their mandatory five-year sentences for good behavior behind bars — a loophole that lessens the blow of the state’s gun laws.

“My bill says that if we’re going to take gun crime seriously, which I think we should, then we’re not going to reward you because you used a gun in a crime,” Brochin said.

A loophole? No, it’s not a loophole, it’s a law. Jordan Belfort, the Wolf of Wall Street, got time off for good behavior, the law was created to encourage criminals not to kill each other, kill guards, misbehave, etc.

Del. Sam Arora (D-Montgomery) proposed a bill this year that would make it illegal to use 3-D printers to produce high-capacity detachable magazines intended for assault weapons.

Progressives against technological progress, how predictable. What’s next?

Firearms and robberies

What about the other 72% of crimes? No background checks for knives? More Laws don’t Mean Less Crimes.

Martin’s death prompted discussions about the ethics of “stand your ground” laws nationally, most vocally in Florida. The crux of the debates was the controversial legislation that mitigates or, in some cases, absolves shooters of punishment if they feel an aggressor is trying to kill or seriously injure them.

According to The Washington Post, more than 30 states have such laws and this state has a similar “duty to retreat” law, which recognizes self-defense if the shooter has no reasonable means to escape

“Stand Your Ground” was not raised in the Zimmerman defense, and it’s pretty hard to retreat with you have a 152-pound man sitting on you. But never mind, if I ever visit Maryland and a criminal assaults me, I will try to retreat. “Mr. Criminal, I am retreating, please do not follow.” I’m sure that will keep me safe and sound.

The truth about Stand Your Ground is that it helps blacks more than anyone else. You hear that, Jesse Jackson? SYG is good for the brothers.

One bill introduced this session by Del. Shawn Tarrant (D-Baltimore City) suggested neighborhood watch members be subject to harsher penalties for harassing or annoying someone in public — however, it died in committee.
Maryland is a great place, isn’t it? Gotta be nice to criminals, hopefully the criminals have nice manners to.
Another bill, proposed by Del. Frank Conaway Jr. (D-Baltimore City), proposed making ignoring the instructions of a 911 operator a misdemeanor, with a conviction carrying a one-year prison term or a $2,500 fine. In the Martin-Zimmerman case, 911 tapes revealed that Zimmerman told a dispatcher he was following Martin, despite the dispatcher’s statements that it wasn’t necessary.

Dumais said the bill didn’t make it out of committee because there were concerns that the legislation would be difficult to enforce. A 911 operator might not be able to effectively judge whether a caller is willfully ignoring their suggestions

In Marxist Maryland, the State owns you. You’re not an individual but Property of 911. Dumais is a dumb ass, but since Maryland is a State of full of dumb asses that vote for dumb politicians, Dumais fits in perfectly.

  1. As a resident of The DPR of Maryland, I take offense to your statement of “Maryland is a State of full of dumb asses that vote for dumb politicians”. Maryland is not a state “full of dumb asses”, it is a state that is and has been controlled by a few that also make the rules. The state has 23 counties of which 3 control the elections. The voting districts are often rewritten to allow the Democrats to maintain their control over the state government. Once you get out of Baltimore city and the suburbs of DC, you get good ol’fashioned Americans who want nothing more then to be left alone. We are currently one of the 5 states with a successionest movement happening. No doubt the counties involved in this will be further punished by our Supreme Leaders in Annapolis. You can’t lump everyone in the same bag. You end up making enemies of those you want on your side.
