Elizabeth Warren, America’s latest red to become famous, gave a speech setting up her agenda. I’m surprised “gun control” wasn’t in her 11 commandments of crap, but like Obama, somethings are better left for later. So here’s my right-libertarian response to Warren’s crappy commandments:
– “We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we’re willing to fight for it.”
We know it’s the government regulation of Wall Street that caused the problems in the first place. Read The Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort never met a regulation he couldn’t overcome.
– “We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth.”
No, you hate science, you hate GMO’s, you hate the back and forth debates that are common in science and instead seek to rule by consensus.
– “We believe that the Internet shouldn’t be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality.”
The Internet isn’t rigged, it’s created, updated, and maintained by thousands of geeks and nerds acting independently, it doesn’t need big government to screw things up.
– “We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage.”
No, you want equality of misery, low standards for everyone. We believe individuals should live with what they make, and make more when they are worth more, not when some government thug decides they should make more
– “We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them.”
We know good fast food workers rise to assistant manager, manager, district manager, etc. We know responsible workers manage to live with whatever wages they make, thus “livable wage” is an oxymoron.
– “We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt.”
We believe the government shouldn’t reward Big Education with federal student loans which enable them to charge whatever they want for tuition. We also know that college is not for everyone, there’s trade school, there’s work experience, there’s also joining the military and letting Uncle Sam pay for your college education. We also know that when you study something useful like medicine, you can pay off your college debt no matter how big it is.
– “We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions.”
No, you ignore the unfunded liabilities in social security, you allowed the expansion of Medicare, you are bankrupting America with your endless spending and business-stiffing regulations.
– “We believe—I can’t believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work.”
Then why does Obama pay his own male stuff more than the ladies? Right, men and women aren’t doing equal work. Men don’t get pregnant, don’t take breaks to raise kids, thus they have more experience and are worth more money. Women are more focused on work/life balance and working part-time, which means they earn less. When a woman works like a man, she gets paid like a man. When a woman works like a woman, she gets paid like a woman. Do the equal work, and then we can talk about equal pay.
– “We believe that equal means equal, and that’s true in marriage, it’s true in the workplace, it’s true in all of America.”
What about polygamy? What about prostitution which is illegal while gold diggers are legal? You’re full of crap, Warren, you only believe in equality for the things you like. I believe government doesn’t belong in the marriage business.
– “We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform.”
LEGAL immigration, there’s a huge difference between a legal immigrant coming here and a dirt-poor border jumper invading us.
– “And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!”
Corporations are legal entities that represent the wishes of people, you red bimbo. Women do have a right to their bodies, but not with our money. Go work for Planned Parenthood if you want free abortions. You will overturn Hobby Lobby? Good luck, the Supreme Court ruled on the issue and SCOTUS rarely overrules itself.
“And the main tenet of conservatives’ philosophy, according to Warren? “I got mine. The rest of you are on your own.”
No, our tenet is: Self-reliance- We make ours, you make yours.
