I don’t know why Daily Mail is being so anti-gun, I’m glad they reported that Judge Chang was appointed by Obama, but do they have to write crap like this:
Chicago’s gun ban, intended to improve public safety, included a zoning ordinance that prohibited licensed gun dealers, banned individuals from selling guns, and barred Chicagoans from giving firearms to family members.
Data published in December show, Chicago’s murder rate is at a 35-year low.

Daily Mail is considered a conservative newspaper in England, yet editorializing like this is unacceptable. The gun ban had nothing to do with public safety, guns are not Tuberculosis, they are not Herpes, mere possession of them hurts no one.
The rest of the article was better, here’s a telling quote from a gun hater:
But despite the tough restrictions, said Roderick Drew, a spokesman for Chicago’s law department, ‘every year Chicago police recover more illegal guns than officers in any city in the country.’
Drew attributed that statistic to ‘lax federal laws’ and ‘lax laws in Illinois and surrounding states related to straw purchasing and the transfer of guns.’

People like Drew want America to be more like Chicago instead of Chicago being more like America, instead of having the humility to admit that their methods aren’t working, they demand we follow their insane example. Good thing Alan Gottlieb tells it like it is:

So what can I say? Thanks Obama for appointing Judge Chang, and thanks to the NRA and SAF for standing up for our rights. This is why we join organizations like those, alone we have limited resources, but together we can sue the bastards and win.
