Guns-In-Cars Bill Stalls: RINO Williams joins Democrat’s Fillibuster

Whether a Democrat is from the South or the North is irrelevant, they’re equally heinous.

MONTGOMERY — A bill that would allow people to carry loaded pistol in their cars, even if they don’t have a gun permit, stalled in the Alabama Senate Thursday when Republicans couldn’t generate enough support to break a filibuster by a handful of Democrats.

The bill also drew opposition from Sen. Phil Williams, R-Gadsden, who said he supported gun rights but couldn’t vote for a bill that would decrease the number of gun permits purchased in Etowah County. Those permits, he said, pay for school resource officers.

“The Second Amendment is still safe,” Williams said. “It was safe before this bill came to the floor.”

Beason said the bill wouldn’t reduce the number of permits issued. He said gun owners will still buy permits if they want to wear a coat with their gun, or put the gun in a purse, or carry the gun to a state where permits are required

Williams introduced an brief amendment stating that “nothing shall serve to repeal revenues” from gun permits. The amendment passed, even though it didn’t include any specific mechanism to keep gun permit revenues at their current levels.

Following the RINO’s logic, we should close down public libraries and make people buy a Book Permit if the intend to carry a book on their hands or an eBook on their phones.
“We don’t talk about the states that have stricter laws,” said Sen. Linda Coleman, D-Birmingham. Coleman said the Southern states with looser gun laws — including Alabama — tend to have higher rates of gun violence than more-restrictive states.

Sure Linda, why don’t you visit Chicago’s Southside or LA’s South Central or Harlem or Brooklyn or any of those neighborhoods with plenty of gun laws and gun crime.
Here’s the truth, not everyone can afford an expensive license to carry a gun, that’s why the guns-in-cars bill is a good alternative for those people that have to choose between getting a license and putting food on the table. The Democrats of course, the “friends of the poor”, are certainly doing their part to keep the law-abiding poor unarmed and defenseless. Nice going, Linda, I hope one of those criminals you protect pays you a visit. Of course, a rich senator like you is likely to have a gun.
