“Gun Street” Politically Incorrect in Jackson, Mississippi

Jackson Families Honor Shooting VIctims

Here in Chattanooga we have a popular street named Gunbarrel, but in Jackson, Mississippi, Councilwoman LaRita Cooper Stokes wants to change that.

“Gun Street should have never been named a street name in the African American community in my opinion,” says Stokes.

“The neighborhood isn’t a bad neighborhood it’s just someone in the neighborhood did it,” says Albert James Barber Sr., victim’s father.
The families now want to honor their sons and try to prevent violence by changing Gun and Hume streets to Barber and Murphy streets.

Why not change it to Wussy Street? Here’s a better one, Slave Street, perfect name for SLAVES who refuse to keep and bear arms, SLAVES who submit to Master Stokes and her fellow gun haters.

And why is Hume Street offensive? Can anyone explain that? Guns don’t kill people and changing street names doesn’t save lives either.

As for it not being a bad neighborhood, yeah right, in Chattanooga there are neighborhoods where you can buy a house for $10,000. Yet do you see me buying? No, an extremely cheap mortgage is not worth living in a crime-infested hellhole.

You gotta gentrify that place first.
