Move over, Jesus, looks like the anti-gunners have finally found a God they can worship. The title of the display? “A Child is Born, a Son is Given,” right, because Trayvon died for our lack of gun control. I can read between the lines, gun haters, you don’t fool me.
All the controversies this year about nativity scenes have involved battles with secular groups, but one California church is getting attention for featuring a life-sized Trayvon Martin, blood pouring from his chest, to make a statement about how pervasive violence is in American society. The display was created by production designer John Zachary, who said he wanted to make something provocative to get people to think about “all those that don’t have the privilege to celebrate with us.”

Zachary is a Hollywood production designer who designs and builds sets for TV and film, with credits including the network comedies “The Middle” and “Raising Hope.”
His 2011 Nativity display included depictions of gay couples and was vandalized and investigated by police as a hate crime.

Great, Johnny has “Jungle Fever” (if Spike Lee can say it, I can say it), yet we know for a fact that Trayvon wasn’t exactly gay-friendly. According to Rachel Jeantel, Trayvon thought Zimmerman wanted his black ass. (again, I’m not being racist, his ass happens to be black)

See? Yet GLAAD makes a big fuss about Phil Robertson. Folks, if you’re gay and have to choose between a Phil that calls you a sinner and a Trayvon that tries to kill you, clearly Phil is the better choice.

I’m not surprised, these Marxist Methodists are all about the “oppressed,” yet what about those of us oppressed by gun control? What about the innocent people that died because they didn’t have a gun? Or better yet, why not make a Nativity Scene with JESUS? It’s His Birthday after all.
