Comcast is Anti-Gun but Pro-Pop

Remember when Comcast banned gun ads? ““Consistent with longstanding NBC policies, Comcast Spotlight has decided it will not accept new advertising for firearms or weapons moving forward. This policy aligns us with the guidelines in place at many media organizations.”

It’s a different story with marijuana:

MarijuanaDoctors.com might not have the most inspired name, but the website is set to make U.S. television historywith the first medical marijuana-related TV ad. The 1-minute spot—slated to air on Massachusetts Comcast channels come April—compares buying drugs illegally to buying sushi off the street and urges potential patients to visit MarijuanaDoctors.com to find pot prescribing physicians.

Now I’m not against legalizing weed, even though there’s no Right to Smoke Weed and Get High in the Constitution, how interesting that Comcast would reject MILLIONS of dollars in advertising from gun ranges, gun stores, gun manufacturers, yet accept a few shekels from the pot people. What kind of business model is that?

Hey Comcast, you’re not the only game in town, if it wasn’t for the Fox News Channel and my Internet service, I would have dropped my subscription.

As far as I’m concerned, you’re overpriced and you under-deliver. The only good thing about you is that your customer service agents pick up the phone quick, I’ve heard horror stories about AT&T.
