Not really, it’s big government Republicans like you that are a very dangerous thing.
I really hope he doesn’t get the Republican nomination.

You don’t control violence by controlling guns. In fact, violence isn’t something you can control, it’s something you can fight. You fight it by empowering citizens to keep and bear arms, by building more prisons, by protecting cops who shoot criminals, by keeping bad guys in jail longer, etc.
Tennessee is a open carry State, that means you don’t need a permit, you can walk around with your gun like a cowboy. Not everybody does it, but some people do and it’s no big deal, our streets aren’t painted with blood either.
New Jersey was bad before Christie came, has gotten worse, and his version of “common sense” is to rape the 2nd Amendment a little bit less than a Democrat. That may be good enough for New Jersey, but it’s not acceptable to me.
