Republicans are supposed to believe in small government, and libertarians believe in small government. So is there anything wrong with some in the GOP moving in a libertarian direction? Gun-banner Christie says yes.
“This strain of libertarianism that’s going through parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought,” the New Jersey GOP governor said on Thursday at a Republican governors forum in Aspen, Colo. “You can name any number of people and (Paul is) one of them.”

“These esoteric, intellectual debates — I want them to come to New Jersey and sit across from the widows and the orphans and have that conversation. And they won’t, because that’s a much tougher conversation to have,” Christie said.
I have news for you, ignoramus. We took care of orphans and widows before big government through Mutual Aid Societies, religious and secular charities, and INDIVIDUAL acts of kindness.
“The next attack that comes, that kills thousands of Americans as a result, people are going to be looking back on the people having this intellectual debate and wondering whether they put …” Christie said before trailing off.
Oh yeah? Well I read on USA Today that the TSA hasn’t stopped a single terrorist from getting through, not one. So all the manhandling and scanning has been for nothing. But hey, let’s just turn this country into a big concentration camp just so we have have security. Gee Christie. who needs terrorists when you’re terrorizing our freedoms?
