MDA wants Pro-Gun Facebook groups censored

It’s not surprising that the haters of the 2nd would come after the first.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America…wants Facebook, which owns Instagram, to “immediately enact a policy prohibiting all sales and trades of firearms on their platforms.”

….

But unlike those sites, Facebook and Instagram are social media sites, not e-commerce outfits, a Facebook official said.

Many gun owners post pictures of weapons for sale on their Facebook pages. But the site does not facilitate sales, the official said.

He said Facebook already bans gun ads

Facebook also realizes that at this point they need every user they can get, I have read in more than one place that the teenage crowd is embarrassed about Facebook, they’re only on FB at the insistence of their parents and are using other social media networks even though FB is the best.

Thus the future of Facebook lies not in dumb teenagers sexting but in gun owners, political activists, and other people that seek to socialize online.

Clarkston Board of Education approves anti-gun resolution

January 29, 2014 - Clarkston Board of Education voted to send a message to the state legislature – no guns in schools.

“My concern is, if someone carries a weapon into school, it would be difficult for staff to assess if they are carrying legally or if they’re a perpetrator,” said Trustee Cheryl McGinnis.

Easy Cheryl, here’s how:

1. Is he shooting at students/teachers? If so, he’s the perpetrator.

2. Is he shooting at the perpetrator shooting at students/teacher? If so, he’s not the perpetrator.

Luckily for us: “State laws banning guns in schools provide an exception to those with concealed carry permits.”

North Idaho Colleges reject Guns on Campus

North Idaho college trustees voted tonight to oppose a state bill to allow concealed firearms on Idaho public college campuses under certain circumstances. The trustees voted 4-1 to oppose the bill sponsored by Sen. Curt McKenzie, R-Nampa. The dissenting vote was from Trustee Todd Banducci, president of Falcon Investments & Insurance, Inc. in Coeur d’Alene and a major in the Air Force Reserves.Like most colleges, NIC bans firearms on campus, either concealed or open carry. The Senate State Affairs Committee, which has rejected similar bills in past years, voted Monday to introduce the legislation.

The bill seeks to override campus gun bans for retired law enforcement officers and people who have Idaho’s new enhanced concealed carry permit. That permit requires more rigorous training then the state’s regular concealed weapon permit. Concealed weapons still would be prohibited in dormitories or residence halls, and in large entertainment venues with seating for 1,000 or more. The bill also adds to an existing law that makes it a crime to carry a concealed weapon while under the influence of alcohol or an intoxicating drug. NIC officials plan to testify against the bill in Boise

How interesting that the dissenting vote came form a major in the Air Force Reserve. Unlike Jason Bateman, some people take their constitutional oath seriously.

End the Post Office Gun Ban

Do you hate having to leave your gun in the car when you visit the post office? Then read this alert from the National Association for Gun Rights.

NAGR GRASSROOTS ALERT: End the Post Office Gun Ban!

Dear Fellow Patriot,

I’ve got good news.

Tomorrow, the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs is scheduled to take up a post office reform bill (S. 1486).

U.S. Senator Rand Paul is once again leading the pro-gun fight by proposing an amendment to eliminate the Post Office Gun Ban once and for all!

But ending this gun ban won’t come easily.

You see, several anti-gunners serve on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee, and they’re preparing to fight tooth-and-nail against Senator Paul’s proposal.

That means it’s up to pro-gun patriots like you to stand with Senator Paul by taking action right away.

As you know, “gun-free zones” are really “criminal safezones” that only serve to provide would-be criminals with a place to find unarmed victims.

But anti-gun lawmakers rammed through a law prohibiting guns in certain federal facilities, and gun-grabbing bureaucrats at the Post Office decided by executive fiat that it includes Post Offices too.

I know it’s frustrating, that government is supposed to be protecting your Constitutional right to keep-and-bear arms but blatantly denies it, even at the post office.

That’s why Senator Paul and your National Association for Gun Rights are working to combat the anti-gunners and their schemes with real, meaningful pro-gun reforms.

If passed, Senator Paul’s amendment would eliminate the Federal ban on carrying your firearm in the public areas of the post office, and allow you to carry just as you ordinarily would under your state’s law.

Simply put, no law abiding citizen should be disarmed and placed at the mercy of would be criminals, simply for going to the post office to mail a letter.

You may remember that NAGR scored a victory when a Federal judge struck down the ban on guns in Postal Service parking lots last year.

But the ban inside the post office is still in effect.

Our ultimate goal has always been to make the U.S. Postal Service a safer place by getting rid of their ludicrous ban on your ability to carry the tools of self-defense.

That’s what Senator Paul’s amendment would do.

Can I count on you to help make this a reality?

If so, please contact U.S. Senator Tom Carper, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

U.S. Senator Tom Carper can be reached at 202-224-2441.

Urge him to support Senator Paul’s amendment to end the Post Office Gun Ban.

Please do not wait to act!

Senator Rand Paul’s crucial pro-gun amendment will be taken up as soon as Wednesday morning.

Take action now.

For freedom,

Dudley Brown

Armed Clerk Defends 7/11

Another Hero of the 2nd Amendment proves we’re not a nation of slaves:

red_white_blue_gun A suspected armed robber who was carrying a pellet gun had to resort to other tactics when things got physical during the attempted robbery of a Richmond, VA 7-11 convenience store.

According to WTVR, a man armed with a pellet gun entered the store and demanded money.

A physical altercation ensued with one of the clerks and the suspect bit the clerk.

During this altercation, another clerk drew a firearm and shot the suspect once.

The suspect then fled the store empty handed. He was apprehended by police nearby shortly thereafter.
