Armed Clown Terrorizes Unarmed Aussies

Here’s a story that would never happen in America, at least not in our pro-gun States.

A GUN-toting clown is being hunted by police after terrifying several pedestrians in Melbourne’s north-western suburbs.

Four people have now come forward to say they were threatened by the man wearing a clown mask across St Albans and Sydenham during a bizarre 30-minutes early on Tuesday morning.

The clown was a passenger in a car, possibly carrying four other people, which slowed to a crawl past their victims.

He then leaned out of the front passenger side window and screamed abuse while waving the gun at them.

On one occasion the clown got out of the car and walked towards his victim, but ran off when another car disturbed him.

No one was hurt in the incidents but Sgt Mark Guthrie, of Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit, said the victims were in shock.

“All the witnesses have described a weapon being pointed at them, a firearm, whether it is fake or not we do not know,” Sgt Guthrie said.

“All the incidents happened within half an hour and within 10 to 15km of each other. It was half-hour of madness but why they did it, I can’t put my finger on it.

“It was very scary for those involved, they all want them caught or for it to stop,” he added.

A woman told police she was walking along Overton Lea Boulevard, in Sydenham, when two men in a white car pulled over around 5.30am.

The passenger started to walk towards the woman when he was disturbed by another vehicle and fled the scene.

Minutes later, a 25-year-old man was approached by a light-coloured sedan in Adelaide St, St Albans.

The clown rolled down the window at a set of lights and threatened the pedestrian while he was waiting to cross the street before speeding away.

Another pedestrian was attacked on Collins St, St Albans, and then at 6am, a 31-year-old jogger was confronted by a man in a clown mask who aimed a gun at him from a car on Alfrieda St, St Albans.

Sgt Guthrie described the mask as a full white face mask with red hair, red lips and red nose.

Only one of the occupants of the car wore the face mask.

“Each incident only last a few seconds before the victim was able to flee, so no one got a really good look at the offenders,” Sgt Guthrie said.

“We also don’t have a numberplate, so I would be really interested to hear from anyone else who may have been a victim or saw a car acting erratically in the area or anyone who may have any information about the matter,” he added.

That’s the beauty of guns, even when you miss, you can still live.

Gun Rights coming to Kansas

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas legislators are considering new gun-rights proposals to strip cities and counties of any power to regulate guns and limit local programs to buy guns back from their owners.

The House Federal and State Affairs Committeescheduled a Thursday morning hearing on a sweeping bill containing the new measures.

The bill would prohibit cities and counties from enacting bans on the open carrying of firearms and prevent them from spending tax dollars to administer firearms buyback programs. Besides stripping cities and counties of the power to set gun policies, the bill declares existing ordinances void.

Great isn’t it? We’re restoring our 2nd Amendment!

DeBlasio joins MAIG, NY Daily News surprised

Forming a rare alliance with his predecessor, Mayor de Blasio is joining the gun-control advocacy group founded and funded by former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the Daily News has learned.

A rare alliance would be a sheep making love to a wolf.  Bloomberg is a gun-hating crony capitalist, DeBlasio is a gun-hating Marxist-Sandinist, it’s a marriage made in hell, people. Why is The Daily News surprised? In fact, one of the rules of journalism is that you’re supposed to avoid adjectives. “Forming an alliance with his predecessor” is how the sentence should be. “Rare” is an adjective, it’s OPINION which belongs to the opinion section or a blog.

Often critical of the previous administration, de Blasio told The News he’s a big supporter of Bloomberg’s high-profile push for stronger gun control measures.

“Mayor Bloomberg took on this fight when few others would, and today we are safer for it,” de Blasio said in a statement to The News. “He built a national movement for common-sense gun control — one I am proud to join.”

Safer? New Yorkers victimized by crime will disagree. Tell that to the woman who was raped because she didn’t have a gun, I’m sure she’s thanking Bloomberg now.

De Blasio said he plans to focus on two issues once he joins the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns. He wants to work with the state’s two Democratic U.S. senators, Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer, in their fight to increase penalties for “straw” purchases of guns by one individual for another buyer.

De Blasio also wants to work on keeping guns away from the mentally ill and those who have been convicted of domestic violence.

These people are full of crap, if you are convicted of domestic violence that’s a felony, which means you’re no longer allowed to keep and bear arms. The gall of this people, they try to fool the people with issues that sound like “common sense” until you think about them

Straw purchases? It’s already against the law to buy a gun for someone else.

The mentally ill? A court has to judge you mentally ill and put you in the loony bin, having Apergers, Autism, depression, does not make you mentally ill.

So let me tell the uninvolved gun owner this, the one who thinks people like me are full of paranoia and we should just compromise with MAIG.  When was the last time MAIG supported concealed carry, armed guards in school, tort reform, not suing gun companies into oblivion,  the end of gun-free zones? You know the answer, they never have, never will.

MAIG is your enemy, MAIG hates you. Bloomberg and his fascist a-holes have never reached out to the NRA, they have never tried to understand our point of view, they hate our 2A, hate the American independent spirit, and I’m glad to hate them back.

Victory in Castle Rock, CO: Legal to open carry guns in public buildings and parks

Death by a thousand cuts is what gun control deserves:

CASTLE ROCK — It will soon be legal to openly carry a firearm in public buildings and parks in Castle Rock after the Town Council repealed a ban over the objections of a majority of the police department and town staffers.

“My point-of-view is to restore the constitutional rights to the people of Castle Rock,” said Mayor Paul Donahue, who supported the new policy.

The council voted 4-3 to repeal the ban during a late-night meeting. Councilmen Clark Hammelman, Chip Wilson and Mark Heath opposed the measure. The new law will take effect Feb. 27.

Wilson and Heath said the matter was too large and contentious for the seven-member body. Heath said voters should decide the issue.

The ban, which had been on the books since 2003, allowed the town manager to decide where open carry was allowed when it came to public property, which includes town-owned or town-controlled municipal buildings and parks.

….

Gun rights supporters bombarded the Council with emails and social media supporting the change.

“Our freedoms are constantly being stripped away and the decision to repeal the open carry ban sets Colorado on a course of restoring freedom, rather than limiting it. Castle Rock Second Amendment supporters stood up for their rights and in doing so have invigorated gun rights supporters across the country,” said Joe Neville, Political Director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, the state’s largest gun lobby.

Elliot Fineman, head of the National Gun Victims Action Council, a nonprofit organization that opposes the new ordinance, said Wednesday bringing guns into a public environment, as a number of communities and states have done, makes that environment less safe for the public.

“This is a race to madness,” he said.

So what can we learn from this? Simple.

1. The enemy has no facts to prove that this is a “race to madness.” Show me how it makes the environment less safe? They can’t. They’re only talking crap.

2. Don’t underestimate the power of social media. When a politician gets 1,000 comments telling him to do something, he pays attention.  Can’t get your pro-gun letter to the editor published? That’s OK, publish it on Facebook, instant message the politician, we don’t need the liberal media to get our views heard.

3. Show up to those boring government meetings: “Members of the public who spoke Tuesday in favor of repealing the ban told the Council that open carry was a Second Amendment right, while those against the repeal said it is a safety and intimidation issue.”

We have won this battle, on to the next.
