Using tragedy to push smart gun technology.

The liberals are getting more creative in their attacks against guns. James Alan Fox writes this among other things in his dumb column:

Apparently, the NRA’s School Shield program isn’t good enough because “…what about the ball fields and playgrounds, like the one on the Sparks Middle School campus where Monday’s shooting occurred? Are we going to arm gym teachers and referees in case some student gets out of hand? And what about the fleets of yellow school buses? Are we to equip bus drivers with licenses to kill on sight?

Wow, if you’re that scared, why not just homeschool your kids? Frankly, I’m not against school bus drivers or gym teachers carrying guns, it’s a RIGHT after all, but I also know school shootings are rare and 99.99% of kids will never be exposed to them.

Which is why the liberal writer has to get creative:

In both the Sparks and Fayetteville shootings, the guns belonged to a parent. The only solution to tragedies such as these is to require “smart gun” technology so that it is not possible for an adolescent, child, or toddler to have unauthorized access to a loaded firearm — that is, anyone but the properly licensed and sufficiently trained gun owner. We must close the “beg, borrow or steal” loophole, whereby immature, trigger-happy minors acquire dangerous weapons from irresponsible adults. Too many bad things can happen when handguns get into the wrong hands.

This is the collectivist thinking we see from Democrats all the time. Whether it’s green cars, healthcare, or smoking bans, we must all do the same damn thing. One-size-fits-all, and if you don’t like it, too bad comrade, you’re just being selfish and not putting the greater good ahead of your own.

Here’s why Mr. Liberal’s solution won’t work.

1. There are more than 300 million guns in this country, we’re not going to turn them all in and replace them with smart guns.

2. The technology isn’t there, and their proponents exclude cops and the military from it. If the authorities won’t embrace smart guns for themselves, why should we embrace them for us?

3.Government mandates never work. Obama has spent billions of our money on subsidies and other goodies to green/electric car makers, the results have been disastrous. Just look at the Ethanol boondoggle, farmers get paid to transform corn into Ethanol, the result is higher corn prices, higher good prices, and even environmentalists admit that Ethanol isn’t really green. See? If he would just let the private sector work it’s magic, we would have real solutions that aren’t corrupted by government, instead of lower gas mileage thanks to Ethanol and green cars we can’t afford nor do we want to buy.

The only people that benefit from smart guns are the rare smart gun company and their lobbyists. Smith & Wesson tried that game years ago when they were owned by the British, the outcry was so loud that they’re not a proud American company.

The liberals accuse us of not being open minded, of being resistant to change. Sure, and now the same liberals that defended Obamacare are complaining about a website that doesn’t work. See? It’s always the same story, the socialists don’t think about the long term consequences of their actions, they just want to experiment on all of us, and the “let’s do something new” people go with it while forgetting they’re simply repeating the mistakes of the past.

Now I’ve seen Judge Dredd, so it’s not I’m against that kind of smart gun, but I refuse to be forced to buy something I don’t want. It’s bad for me, bad for society, and it won’t refuse school shootings just like the war on drugs doesn’t reduce drug trafficking. If anything, gun traffickers love gun control, it increases the price and demands of their products.

Delta Six: The New Gun Controller.

If you like video games, these gun controller looks amazing. Perfect for those days you can’t afford to go to the range.

“What you see above is the final version of the gun controller, the one that will be shipping to Kickstarter backers, and those who pre-order from the maker’s site, later this holiday season. A Delta Six representative tells us how in the months leading to this moment, the virtual combat-friendly controller took an incredible amount of prototyping, customizing and calibrating, but that the company’s thrilled to soon be able to deliver on its crowdfunded promise.

You can see a video of what you can do with it here: http://www.engadget.com/2013/10/14/delta-six-gun-controller-final-version/

The comments were interesting, some liberal gamers were defending it, but not all.

“Only in the good old U S of A.

You guys are crazy.

Gun crazy.”

We’re FREEDOM-crazy, you a-hole.

I don’t understand the criticism here.

People are playing light-rail shooter games in the arcade all the time. How is this any different, just that I am now doing so from home? If I want to spend my money on an expensive accessory because I believe it is worth the extra utility to the game, what’s wrong?

Good point.

Meh…  For that price, I’d rather take my real AR-15 to the range to shoot at targets…

Another good point, as long as you can afford the ammo.

Life Imitates Hitman Blood Money: Mexican Drug Lord killed by Clown.

If you’ve played Hitman Blood Money, you recognize the clown costume. Good times, Agent 47 is a hero of bald headed bastards everywhere.

I’ve never liked clowns, although I admit this is kinda funny in a sick way.

Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix, the eldest brother of Mexico’s once-feared Arellano Felix drug clan, was shot to death in the Baja beach resort of Los Cabos by a gunman wearing a clown costume, authorities said Saturday.
Source: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/10/20/former-leader-mexico-drug-cartel-killed-by-gunman-in-clown-costume/

Of course, don’t feel too sorry for this guy, he was a real bastard:

The elder of the Arellano Felix brothers was arrested in 1993 in connection with the murder of Roman Catholic Cardinal Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo and served a 10-year sentence for weapons possession. Mexican officials were concerned that he would return to drug trafficking after serving his Mexican sentence and asked their U.S. counterparts to seek his extradition as he neared completion of a sentence on the unrelated weapons charge.

“The Mexicans were very concerned he was going to get out,” Kirby said.

Kirby said he found enough evidence to bring charges on the 1980 drug case and he prepared the extradition request.

Arellano Felix was extradited to the U.S. in 2006 to face California charges stemming from a 1980 case in which he allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover police officer in the United States.

He was sentenced by a U.S. judge to six years in prison on drug charges but was granted parole, released and deported back to Mexico in 2008.

So Mexicans, how’s that gun control working out for you? I admit our early parole system sucks, but at least we’re free to keep and bear arms (in red states).

Former Marine dies in Gun-Free Zone.

Today a teenage gunman with a gun was more powerful than a US Marine without one. Think about that, the Marines are the toughest of the tough, longest basic training, I read the guy had done 3 tours of duty, yet thanks to our gun-free zones, some stupid teenager who stole his father’s gun was able to murder him and shoot two other students who are lucky to be alive.

“A gunman opened fire on a middle-school campus in a Nevada suburb early Monday, killing a popular math teacher and injuring two 12-year-old boys before turning the gun on himself.

The shooter, who used a semiautomatic handgun, was a male student at Sparks Middle School in suburban Reno, police said.

The teacher, identified by a family member as 45-year-old Michael Landsberry, was killed while trying to intervene when the attack broke out at 7:16 a.m.

“Mike was wonderful with kids and enjoyed his job,” Ms. Tibbals said. A Facebook page under Mr. Landsberry’s name noted he was a former U.S. Marine and had celebrated his wedding anniversary last Friday.

…..

The shooting came after Sparks Middle School had joined all other campuses in the Washoe County district in implementing a new program called Safe Zones. The program created zones, or classrooms at each school where students can go to escape bullying or harassment, “due to the increase in gang activity, bullying, violence to students by other students,” according to the school’s website.”

Well, I’m glad the Safe Zones program worked, not. I read on USA Today that the marine actually tried to talk to the gunman, who responded by shooting him. See? We can’t talk to crazy killers, with the exception of one woman in Atlanta, school shooters are rarely looking to talk to someone. Yet our altruistic culture tends to celebrate doves over the hawks, weak over the strong. If the marine had had his gun and had shot that little bastard, liberals would be whining that a tragic life was lost. Instead, today they’ll be blaming the grieving father for having a gun in the first place. They’ll say “if he hadn’t had a gun, his son would not have stolen it.” Sure, and if you don’t have marijuana, your kids won’t buy marijuana from someone else. Nice logic, liberals, just like your logic about gun-free zones.

Bill de Fascist Accuses Bloomberg of not going “far enough”.

What’s the difference between Bill de Blasio and Bloomberg? Not much besides one having a son with an ugly afro. Hey kid, the 70s are over, go get a haircut you young  Obama wannabe. And before anyone calls me racist, hair style is a choice, and there are white people with afros, dreadlocks, and all that garbage. Of course, Bill’s kid is not really my problem, this is:

NEW YORK — While mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg sent his police force after guns on the streets, launched sting operations against gun shows, and pumped millions of dollars of his own money into defeating gun control opponents at the polls.

His name is now uttered as a curse on right-wing talk radio. But Democratic mayoral nominee Bill de Blasio told HuffPost in an interview Friday that Bloomberg’s laudable approach on gun control was ultimately hampered by his politics.

“I think he’s been right on gun control, right on immigration reform and right on climate change. I think in several cases there was a sort of incompleteness to the approach,” de Blasio said.

“I think on gun control we have to go after the money supply to manufacturers of guns and ammunition,” he said, suggesting cutting off public pension investments to those companies so they can’t “fund the industry that then turns around and funds the NRA.”

De Blasio, the current public advocate, supported that divestment approach as a trustee of the city’s pension fund. The mayor’s office objected, stating that politics and pension planning shouldn’t mix, but ultimately lost the argument.

“We can implicitly say that is not the approach Michael Bloomberg likes to take, because he’s a free-marketeer,” de Blasio said. “He does not like to see government interfere in that fashion. So amen for what he did on gun control. I think we should go the next step.”

Marc Lavorgna, a city spokesman, said the mayor’s office was “not commenting on candidate proposals.”

Wow, so much BS from de Blasio, where do I begin?

1. Bloomberg is not a “free market guy,” he’s a crony-capitalist. I don’t expect a Marxist like de Blasio to understand that, but when you collide with government to make investments, when you seek public money to fund private projects, you’re a crony-capitalist which is synonym for socialist.

2. Less than 4% of the money the NRA gets comes from the gun industry. As The Atlanta, a liberal publication, reported “National Shooting Sports Foundation, the nation’s “other” gun lobby….This April, when Senator Mitch McConnell (the NRA’s single biggest recipient of campaign contributions) used procedural tactics to block an expanded background check bill, NRA Board member Adolphous Busch publicly resigned from the organization, saying the group “clearly places priority on the needs of gun and ammunition manufacturers while disregarding the opinions of [its] 4 million individual members.” The NSSF has no such conflicting constituencies—its 8000 members are gun and ammunition manufacturers and dealers.”

Now the NRA has 5 million members, multiply $35 times 5 million and you get a $175 million war chest, and that’s not counting additional contributions most members make every year.

You’re lucky you’re running for Mayor in New York City, that cesspool by the river may tolerate Marxist vermin like you, but in the rest of America, including towns in the State of New York, you are hated, you are despised. The only reason you’re winning is because New Yorkers hate liberty. I know that sounds funny, but that Statue of Liberty that France gave them is just a symbol. And the poem at her base by that dirty socialist Emma Lazarus, “give me your poor, your tired, yearning to breathe free” is just a call for welfare, an invitation to moochers and looters. A real Statue of Liberty would feature a lady holding a gun instead of a torch.

Chattanooga has no statue of Liberty, but here we are free. We don’t need three different recycling bins in our homes, we just call it garbage. We don’t have incomes taxes, you don’t have to jump through hoops to get a business license, and in spite of a few “gun-free zones” in tourist areas, we can open carry without a license. No rent control, no rubber rooms, no unions, no BS and no de Blasio.
