Cop fires gun accidentally

When a civilian suffers a gun accident, liberals want to ban guns, when a cop screws up, nobody cares

Tampa, Florida — Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing an incident where a deputy’s gun accidentally went off in a restroom. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the deputy was working off-duty at Tampa Bay Downs of Friday. When he went to use the restroom his gun went off when he removed his gun belt to set it down. No one else was in the restroom at the time and no one was injured. Source: http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/local/2014/07/19/hillsborough-county-deputy/12878491/

I wonder if the trigger got attached to the gun belt which would explain the accidental firing? An easy solution might be not to keep a round in the chamber, but that puts you at a disadvantage if you had to shoot a bad guy right away.

  1. Are there car accidents or “incorrect car handling”? Clearly an unintended action is an accident. Don’t let the gun haters define the debate, they’re the ones who hate the term “gun accident” because it lessens the guilt of the gun owner.

By the way, one time I saw a bee, started running, and my gun fell from my strapless holster. So you see? It can happen to anyone. You can know all the rules about gun safety, take all the precautions, but when you least expect it, something bad happens. Luckily for me, I learn from my experiences, now I have another holster just for that gun, one with a strap so the gun doesn’t fall if I have to run again.
