Stacy Washington wrote a brilliant column for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Guns and the Media, about why the media does a horrible job covering the NRA. Yet the same paper that published her column, now punishes her:
Stacy Washington’s column will no longer appear in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Her active promotional activities and professional association with the National Rifle Association represented an unacceptable conflict of interest in her most recent column, which resulted in our suspension of her work. Ms. Washington chose to terminate her contract. Columnists are expected to fully disclose conflicts of interest when writing about topics where such a conflict might arise. We apply this standard regardless of the lobbying or advocacy group being written about in a column.
What about all the journalists at Samantha Bee’s pro-ACLU Correspondents Dinner, or all the pro-Obama, pro-Hillary people in the media, will they get fired as well?
Is it a conflict of interest because she was a guest cohost on Cam & Company at NRA News?
Starting Friday, Nov. 18 , the St. Louis Post-Dispatch will launch a new weekly column by conservative radio host Stacy Washington. Her Stacy on the Right Show is broadcast on 97.1 FM News Talk KFTK every Sunday from 7-9 pm in St. Louis.
Stacy is an Emmy Nominated TV personality and Air Force veteran. She has appeared on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, The Blaze, PBS, RT TV, ABC30 and KSDK.
Stacy has written for the Bearing Arms, Townhall, the Daily Caller, Freedom Works, Townhall Magazine, On the Culture, Conservative Daily News, Big Journalism, Family Events, The Beacon and many other publications online and print. Her favored topics are national politics, educational freedom, limited government, healthcare reform, the racial divide, personal responsibility, foreign policy and pro-life issues.
And you get upset because she writes a pro-NRA column?
